Installation Guide
This guide will walk you through the process of installing and setting up Bartendie on your device.
System Requirements
Before installing Bartendie, ensure your device meets the following requirements:
Mobile Application
- iOS 14.0 or later
- Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
- At least 100MB of free storage space
- Camera access for barcode scanning
Desktop Admin Dashboard (Optional)
- Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Internet connection for accessing the cloud backend
Installing the Mobile App
iOS Installation
- Open the App Store on your iOS device
- Search for "Bartendie"
- Tap the "Get" or price button
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password
- Wait for the download and installation to complete
- Tap "Open" to launch Bartendie
Android Installation
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device
- Search for "Bartendie"
- Tap "Install"
- Accept the permissions when prompted
- Wait for the download and installation to complete
- Tap "Open" to launch Bartendie
First Launch Setup
When you first launch Bartendie, you'll need to complete these steps:
- Create an Account: Sign up with your email or use single sign-on with Google, Apple, or Facebook
- Choose Your Profile Type:
- Home Bartender
- Professional Bartender
- Event Planner
- Grant Permissions:
- Camera access (required for barcode scanning)
- Notifications (recommended for stock alerts)
- Location (optional, for finding nearby stores)
- Connect to Cloud (optional but recommended for backup and sync across devices)
Setting Up the Admin Dashboard
If you want to access the admin dashboard from your desktop:
- Open your web browser and go to https://app.bartendie.com
- Log in using the same account credentials you created in the mobile app
- Follow the on-screen tutorial to familiarize yourself with the dashboard
Troubleshooting Installation Issues
Common Problems
App Won't Download
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure you have enough storage space
- Verify your App Store/Play Store account is active
Camera Access Issues
- Go to your device's Settings
- Find Bartendie in the Apps list
- Ensure Camera permissions are enabled
Account Creation Problems
- Make sure you're using a valid email address
- Check that your password meets the minimum requirements
- If using social login, ensure your social account is active
