First-Time Setup

This guide will help you configure Bartendie for first use after installation.

Initial Configuration

After installing Bartendie, you'll need to complete the following setup steps:

1. Create your user profile
2. Configure bar settings
3. Set up your initial inventory
4. Import or create recipes

Creating Your User Profile

The first time you launch Bartendie, you'll be prompted to create a profile:

1. Enter your name
2. Choose a username
3. Add an optional profile picture
4. Set your preferences (units of measurement, etc.)

Configuring Bar Settings

Next, you'll set up your bar environment:

1. Name your bar
2. Define storage locations
3. Set default glassware
4. Configure notification preferences

Setting Up Initial Inventory

Before you can start planning events, you'll need to add your inventory:

1. Add spirits, mixers, and other ingredients
2. Catalog your bar tools and equipment
3. Record your available glassware

Finally, you'll want to set up your recipe collection:

1. Import recipes from our database
2. Add your own custom recipes
3. Organize recipes with tags
