Understanding Data Management
Bartendie offers several data management features:
- Backups: Create complete system snapshots
- Exports: Generate specific data files
- Imports: Bring in data from other sources
- Synchronization: Keep multiple devices updated
- Recovery: Restore from previous backups
Creating Backups
Full System Backup
Save your complete Bartendie database:
- Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
- Tap "Create Backup"
- Choose backup location:
- Cloud storage
- Local device
- External drive
- Set optional encryption
- Add a description
- Tap "Start Backup"
Scheduled Backups
Automate your backup process:
- Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
- Tap "Scheduled Backups"
- Configure frequency:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- After significant changes
- Choose retention policy
- Select storage location
- Enable or disable notifications
Exporting Data
Selective Exports
Export specific data sections:
- Go to "Data Management" > "Export"
- Select categories to export:
- Recipes
- Inventory

- Choose export format:
- Bartendie format (for system transfer)

Importing Data
From Bartendie Files
Import data from another Bartendie system:
- Go to "Data Management" > "Import"
- Tap "From Bartendie File"
- Select the file source:
- Cloud storage
- Local device
- Received files
- Choose import behavior:
- Replace existing data
- Merge with existing data
- Import as new (duplicate safe)
- Tap "Begin Import"
- Review and confirm changes
From External Sources
Import data from other applications:
- Go to "Data Management" > "Import"
- Tap "From External Source"
- Select file type:
- Spreadsheets (CSV, Excel)
- Text files
- Database exports
- Image collections (for recipe photos)
- Map external fields to Bartendie fields
- Preview the imported data
- Tap "Complete Import"

- Sign in to your Bartendie account
